School supervision row leads to disciplinary problems

THE row over school supervision and substitution duties is leading to disciplinary problems with pupils, principals claimed yesterday.

They want to replace the interim supervision and substitution arrangements in secondary schools affected by the ASTI dispute.

The National Association of Principals and Deputy Principals (NAPD) believes the scheme involving non-teachers is leading to bad behaviour in classrooms and putting huge pressure on themselves and their deputies.
