Cork 2005: Sol Pico

Cork 2005 will present an Irish exclusive of La Dona Manca o Barbi-Superestar. Their work offers an unforgettable anthology of movement, illumination and music.

Fête de la Danse: icd, Cork-based Institute for Choreography and Dance, presents a breath-taking sequence of dance events in February of 2005.

For many years, icd has engineered hundreds of dance opportunities for visiting choreographers and dancers from Europe and elsewhere.

Combining forces with Cork 2005, icd presents a powerful programme which will include the work Jean-Pierre Perreault from Canada. Jean-Pierre Perreault celebrates his dance company’s 21st anniversary in 2005 with a new presentation of his singular and seminal work “Joe”.

Exploring the musical potential of bodies in a context of brilliant pictorial and architectural sets, “Joe” will astonish the dance audience of 2005.
