Well-known private nursing home closes down for business reasons

ONE of the best known private nursing homes in Limerick has decided to close down for business reasons.

The 41-bed Glebe House nursing home in Fedamore has been run by Florence McCarthy and his wife Patricia for the past 14 years.

In a statement the McCarthys said: “It is with regret that we make the announcement that Glebe Nursing Home Ltd will be closing down within the next few weeks. The nursing home has been in operation for almost 30 years, starting from the original Glebe House built in the 1800s. It was felt that too many constraints existed in developing the nursing home further.”
