Households enter sixth month of boiling drinking water

MORE than 250 households in west Limerick today enter their sixth month having to boil drinking water due to an ongoing health scare.

The houses are connected to Kilfinny Group Water Scheme which serves homes in the Kilfinny, Ballingarry, Adare and Croagh areas.

Local people have been advised to boil all drinking water since last October after an outbreak of the dangerous E.coli 0157 bacteria.
