Girl missing for two months

GARDAÍ renewed their appeal yesterday for information about a Moldovan teenager who has been missing for two months.

Madalina Rosu, 15, disappeared from her health board hostel in Dublin’s north inner city on April 7.

Gardaí have had no confirmed sightings of her since and are concerned for her well-being.

“She’s a 15-year-old girl. We would be concerned about her safety, particularly given the time she is on our missing persons list, over two months,” said Inspector Tony Gallagher of Fitzgibbon Street Garda Station.

Gardaí released Madalina’s picture yesterday. She is 5’1’’, of slight build. She has long dark brown hair and blue eyes.

Gardaí believe Madalina may be in the company of friends and may have changed her name.

Gardaí have previously investigated cases where Roma minors have been sold into arranged marriages in Ireland and disappeared.

Anyone with information is asked to contact gardaí on 01-6668600 or 1800-666111.
