FOUR people died in three separate motoring accidents on the country’s roads at the weekend.

Two men were killed in motorbike accidents while a father and daughter died in a single vehicle car accident on Saturday evening.

Neill Considine, 25, of Lisdoonvarna, Co Clare died when his motorcycle was in collision with a car near Lisdoonvarna just after 8pm on Saturday.

Anthony O’ Leary Snr, 49, from Enniscorthy, Co Wexford, was killed when his motorcycle left the road and crashed into a ditch at Clonroche, at 10.30pm.

Gardaí also named the two people who died in a road accident in Daingean, Co Offaly on Saturday.

They were 71-year-old Christy Daly from Daingean, and his daughter, Lorraine Daly, 22.

Gardaí at Tullamore, Co Offaly said the fatal traffic accident occurred at Ballycommon, Daingean, around 2pm on Saturday.

The car left the road and plunged into a canal, instantly killing the man and his daughter.

No other persons were in the car. The two were pronounced dead at the scene.
