Shandon to go downhill fast

CORK will host the world’s steepest soapbox race this Sunday before an estimated audience of 30,000.

Stimulant drinks giant, Red Bull, has staged soapbox races in Leeds, Melbourne, Vienna and Warsaw.

“But Cork is set to top them all with the steepest track,” a company spokesman said last night.
