THE JURY at a Cork inquest returned a verdict that a 37 year-old mother of three children, who was able to walk out of a psychiatric ward, took her own life.

But they also recommended that all the CCTV cameras surrounding GF ward in Cork University Hospital (CUH) be recording video cameras, which was accepted by Cork City Coroner, Dr Myra Cullinane.

The inquest was into the death of Patricia Dorney of Carhue, Riverstick, who went missing from the hospital and whose body was found by the John Horgan Quay 14 days later.
