LRC to hold A&E crisis meeting as 422 patients lie on trolleys countrywide

In hospitals countrywide yesterday, 422 patients lay on trolleys in accident and emergency units the highest number yet.

The Irish Nurses Organisation (INO), who asked the LRC to step in and lead talks on solving the crisis, said the Health Service Executive (HSE) had failed to deal with the problem.
