Alcohol, not drugs, the leading culprit in date rape cases

VICTIMS of date rape are more likely to have drunk too much alcohol rather than have consumed drinks spiked with knockout drugs like Rohypnol.

Young women are also routinely attending medical clinics and demanding the morning-after pill after having sex following heavy boozing sessions.

Now alcohol counsellors are warning that the country is facing a timebomb of health problems and other difficulties brought on by binge drinking by 18 to 29-year-olds.
