THE prosecution summed up its case against Wayne O’Donoghue yesterday, day nine of the trial. Shane Murphy SC addressed the jury. The following are extracts from this.

MR Murphy reminded the jury they had to answer a certain question - was Wayne O’Donoghue guilty of murder, or was he guilty of manslaughter?

“The prosecution invites you to believe on the evidence that he is guilty of murder,” he said.
