US President George W Bush yesterday pledged to provide his full support to the North’s peace process.

Mr Bush, who met with the North’s political leaders in the White House, said he hoped both sides of the community would work together to secure a lasting peace.

In an important symbolic move, he posed for photographs with the North’s leaders, including Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams, whose party has been criticised in Washington for links to the Columbia Three.
