Drink drivers beware

DRINK driving is still the biggest threat to road safety and is responsible for four out of ten fatal road crashes.

This was the stark warning from the National Safety Council (NSC) as it launched the Christmas anti-drink driving campaign with the gardaí yesterday.

The NSC will complement the garda Christmas clampdown by airing the anti-drink driving TV commercial, entitled “Shame”, showing the tragic consequences of the offence.
