New homes found for former residents of Leas Cross

THE Health Service Executive (HSE) has now identified homes for all of elderly residents of Leas Cross nursing home.

There were 58 residents in the home in Swords, Co Dublin, on July 7 last when its owner, John Aherne, said he intended closing the facility next Monday.

“We are happy the way things are going and are working towards having every resident moved out of the home by the end of the week,” HSE spokesperson, Stephen McGrath, said yesterday.
