THE abduction of two brothers and the shooting of a criminal may have been ordered by a gang trying to win control of the drugs scene in Limerick.

Kieran Keane, 36, died in an execution style-killing on Wednesday night while his nephew, Owen Treacy, 30, was stabbed seven times.

Mr Keane was the main crime boss in the city and was under investigation by the Criminal Assets Bureau.
