IT'S game on for the Labour Party leadership after Pat Rabbitte announced he is running yesterday.

The party's Justice spokesman is to challenge the deputy leader Brendan Howlin in a ballot of 3,500 party members next month.

Communications spokesman Eamon Gilmore is still considering running and will make a decision at the weekend.
