ALMOST one in two patients believes their family doctor does not spend enough time with them, an Irish internet survey shows.

Less than one in three respondents believes their GP gives them enough time, with 44% feeling they do not.

However, one in four of the 4,000 people estimated to have voted in the irishhealth.com survey pointed out that while their doctor does not always take enough time, they understand that GPs are very busy.
