Booster jab on offer for toddlers

A BOOSTER jab is now being offered by the Health Service Executive (HSE) in response to an increased incidence of meningitis in children already vaccinated.

The Hib catch-up booster is available free of charge from general practitioners to all 220,000 children aged between one and four years.

The €10 million campaign is being run in three phases.
