Most fatal overdoses result of drugs mix

NINE out of ten drug deaths in Ireland are caused by a cocktail of drugs, according to an EU report.

The study found Ireland had the highest level in the EU of fatal overdoses caused by a combination of drugs.

"Most of the deaths are associated with the injecting of heroin combined with other drugs," said the report.
