Toddler drowns in slurry pit tragedy

A TWO-year-old boy has died after drowning in a slurry pit on his family’s farm.

Toddler Alan Deane will be buried today after a funeral service in Drimoleague in West Cork.

The Health and Safety Authority, which is investigating the tragedy, said Alan was the first child to die in a farm accident this year.
