Mrs McDaid unfazed by criticism

THE estranged wife of junior Minister Jim McDaid brushed aside media fire over her kiss-and-sell autobiography and said she has widespread support from the public.

Speaking on RTÉ’s Joe Duffy show yesterday, Marguerite McDaid, who was married to Mr McDaid for 32 years, said she did not write No Other Medicine But Hope to discredit her husband, who she claims had at least 10 affairs during their life together.

She said she had “done it for the money”.
