Young mother raped in home

A YOUNG mother was tied up and brutally raped by a masked attacker while her two young children lay asleep in an adjoining bedroom, gardaí have revealed.

Horrific details of the incident were released by a garda spokesman yesterday after it emerged a man had been questioned in relation to the attack in Co Cork.

“During the early hours of last Sunday morning the victim, who is in her early 20s, was attacked at a house on the outskirts of Cobh,” a garda spokesman said.
