COMPLEX negotiations on the stalled contract to build the €60 million Cork School of Music could be completed within eight weeks.

This is the first time a firm timetable has been given for completion of the talks.

Junior Environment Minister Batt O’Keeffe said the Department of Education is awaiting clearance from the European Commission to proceed with the contract which was bought from the troubled Jarvis Group by German firm Hochtief.
