Priceless hoard returns to original resting place after 22 years

WHEN Michael Webb and his son Michael Jnr dug out their metal detector 22 years ago they had no idea it would unearth such a treasure.

"It was a staggering find,'' Michael Snr recalled yesterday. "I couldn't speak for a time. I just froze."

On the monastic site of Derrynaflan, near Littleton Bog, Co Tipperary, the pair found a priceless hoard.
