Ireland has highest rate of super bug infections
Previously believed to be second to Britain in terms of the number of infections among European countries, a new survey commissioned by the Irish Patients Association (IPA) shows Ireland to be by far the worst in the continent. The survey
attributes an infection rate of 119.3 per million inhabitants to Ireland, which is more than double the rate attributed to second-placed Portugal, where recorded infections stood at 46.5 per million inhabitants.
