Luas late but tram looks the part

THE trams may be delayed but there will be another progress report shortly, if that’s any comfort.

Transport Minister Seamus Brennan unveiled the first, complete long-awaited Luas tram in Dublin yesterday with a mix of good, bad and predictable news.

The good news was the tram, all 40 metres of it, looked well, performed well and could well live up to its promise to be a modern, efficient, comfortable, nippy form of public transport in a car-strangled city.
