Martin regrets his State care broke the speed limit

HEALTH Minister Micheál Martin last night said he regretted that his official car had broken the speed limit and said he did not condone speeding.

But a spokeswoman for the minister said the State car had been doing about 70mph not about 100mph, as reported yesterday.

The incident occurred 10 days ago when Mr Martin was travelling to Killarney in support of his local GAA club Nemo Rangers, who were playing in the Munster club final.
