HEALTH Minister Micheál Martin has rejected criticism of delays in implementing the Government’s health reform programme.

On Monday, the author of the key health reform report criticised the department, claiming no progress had been made.

Speaking from New York, Mr Martin said he was “surprised” by the comments of Professor Niamh Brennan. She accused the Government of dragging its heels in appointing key personnel to implement recommendations of the Brennan report, a value-for-money audit of the health services, published three months ago.
