Clash over the ash as GAA threat forces bookies to cancel player deal
Paddy Power said the GAA, which will make €25m from this year's hurling and football championships, had put undue pressure on the players, particularly the two Wexford players and one Cork hurler involved in Saturday's All-Ireland semi-final replay.
The GAA's Games Administration Committee is to meet tomorrow night to decide on what action to take against Paul Codd and Damien Fitzhenry, of Wexford, and Cork's Seán Óg Ó hAilpín. The players received €750 each for using the Paddy Power hurleys in Sunday's drawn game.
