Carnival in Kinsale marks end of ‘big dig’

TRADERS in one of Ireland’s top tourist towns announced details last night of a huge street carnival to celebrate the end of the ‘big dig’.

Major drainage works have caused disruption in the heart of Kinsale, Co Cork, for the last 12 months.

But traders in Pearse Street and the Glen area said their street carnival next week is designed to tell people that Kinsale is once again open for business.
