Super-choreographer Wade Robson, who will forever be held responsible for masterminding moves for Britney Spears and *NSYNC, is behind the search for Irish dancing talent.

With the support of MTV he set his sights on finding the most thrilling amateur dancer in Europe.

The best dancers in the Irish heat will win a coveted place at the MTV show’s gruelling dance boot camp “and go hip to hip in a boogie battle for the opportunity of a lifetime - to appear in a well-known artiste’s music video”, said producer Richard Godfrey.

Auditions for dancers over 16 years of age will be taking place in Dublin’s Coyote Lounge today from 1pm.

“The Irish have proved they can sing by winning the Eurovision Song Contest a massive seven times, but can they dance as well? MTV talent scouts will be hunting high and low to find Ireland’s dance sensation who will represent their country in Europe’s biggest dance competition,” Mr Godfrey said.

A prodigy before he knew what the word meant, Wade Robson has a list of clients that include some of the greatest movers in pop.

His work has featured in television, movies, music videos, concerts and awards ceremonies.
