Greens would back €150 a month towards childcare

A NEW childcare package that would give parents a maximum €150 a month in tax credits or cash will be part of the Green Party’s programme in any future government.

This was the clear message Green Party Finance Spokesman Dan Boyle sent out at the party’s annual convention in Cork at the weekend.

The new payment would be on top of the current child benefit and would decrease to €100 for every child over six.
