Rosscarbery shades tight quiz contest

THERE was a nail-biting finish to the Thomas Crosbie Holdings All-Ireland Schools Quiz at the Westlodge Hotel in Bantry last night

Mount St Michael from Rosscarbery emerged as victors after a breakdown on the scores, having drawn with Beara Community School.

In a cuticle-chomping clash, both teams had 106 marks, but on the breakdown, Rosscarbery emerged victors with 23 non-conferred answers to Beara’s 21. The narrow winning margin had been the product of a highly entertaining evening with impressive performances from all those taking part.
