Budget reflects economy: Ahern

TAOISEACH Bertie Ahern yesterday said a Budget with €3 billion of spending was that of a “successful economy that continues to outperform practically all others in the developed world”.

Mr Ahern said that the Budget was framed in the spirit of social partnership and would improve the quality of life for young families and older people.

Mr Ahern said the Government had managed the country’s affairs well.
