Helpline hours extended to cope with calls

AS tens of thousands of college applicants await the first round of CAO offers tomorrow, the National Parents Council has announced it is extending the opening hours of its helpline to cater for the anticipated influx of calls.

The Exam Helpline opens tomorrow at 10am instead of noon to cater for students and parents.

When the helpline closed at 10pm last Friday more than 1,500 calls from students and parents seeking advice were taken by the army of volunteers.
