STAFF are spending less time at work, according to new figures released by the Central Statistics Office (CSO) yesterday.

People now work for 37.2 hours in an average week, which is 36 minutes less than in 2001.

Men work longer hours than women, with the typical male clocking up 41.2 hours weekly, while females work 32.3 hours, the Quarterly National Household Survey revealed.
