Be healthy, not Homer

THE high-fat and low-exercise lifestyle of Homer Simpson has been highlighted by a youth survey as a classic example of an unhealthy person’s routine.

Research published by the Health Promotion Unit has found that while young people are well-informed about the dangers of obesity, they fail to react to the issue and, given the option, make unhealthy food choices.

Homer Simpson - who eats high-fat food and snacks and uses a stick to change TV stations from his couch - was defined by the young people surveyed as an unhealthy person.
