FISHERMEN and boat operators hope a school of up to 40 dolphins which has gathered in the Waterford estuary will do for the city what Fungi has done for Dingle.

The common dolphins have been feeding daily along the estuary, much to the delight of visitors to the region.

Local fishermen and charter boat operator, Jimmy Foley, has been busy ferrying groups of dolphin lovers to the sight and says long may it last.
