Consultants vow to fight contract changes

HOSPITAL consultants will fight any attempt to force new appointees to work exclusively for the public health service, their secretary general Finbarr Fitzpatrick insisted yesterday.

A Government-appointed Commission is recommending all new consultants should be appointed to work exclusively for the public health sector.
