Greens call for ban on junk food ads

JUNK food ads must be banned and advertising aimed at children tightly controlled, according to the Green Party.

Publishing its Broadcasting (Amendment) Bill yesterday, Green Party communications spokesperson Eamon Ryan said legislation was needed to help tackle the growing health problem among children.
