Jade on the road to stardom

ONLY yesterday, Eurovision hopefuls, Jade, were on the road to nowhere.

But thanks to the intervention of a local insurance company, the quartet is hitting the highways, as well as the high notes.

The Wexford girls have finally managed to get insurance on their Seat Altea, and for free, thanks to Enniscorthy-based brokers, Creane and Creane.

The car was donated by Enniscorthy Motor Company but, said lead singer Yvonne O’Sullivan, “some companies were not quoting us because we’re musicians. Others wouldn’t quote because we didn’t actually own the car.”

The foursome is down to the final seven in this year’s You’re A Star competition and will this morning head to Dublin in their new motor for the first time for rehearsals for Sunday night’s show.

“All we need now is someone to sponsor our petrol, and we’re away for slates,” said Yvonne.
