ISPCA seizes 110puppies in farm raid

GARDA and inspectors from the ISPCA raided a puppy farm and removed more than 100 puppies after reports they were being kept in appalling conditions.

More than 20 of the Dachshunds were found in dark and cold conditions in an old cottage inside boxes, while 17 puppies were found in cages in a van used specifically for the storage of animals.

Seventy-two other dogs were kept in an open yard in pens some of which were made from old wooden pallets and rope.
