THE Government will sell off hundreds of State-owned properties to help fund the roads programme and building projects.

The first of the public assets to be put on the market in a plan to raise millions of euro will be confirmed today.

Disused old buildings and plots of land, such as former garda stations, are expected to be among the assets to be put up for sale immediately by Junior Finance Minister Tom Parlon.
