Irish actor wins Tony

IRISH actor Brían F. O’Byrne has won a Tony award, the most coveted prize awarded by the American Theatre Wing.

A second Irish actor, Aidan Gillen, was also nominated O’Byrne and Gillen were two of five actors up for the gong.

O‘Byrne has worked in theatre and film for two decades, most recently in the stage adaptation of The Woman Who Walked Into Doors and in the film Intermission.
