FF sells €220m jobs boost in poll ploy

PROOF of Fianna Fáil's blatant electioneering on decentralisation emerged last night.

It was revealed that all FF party candidates have been given figures by head office of what decentralisation is worth to their county.

The Government claimed in the December budget that decentralisation was being introduced to radically overhaul the public service, and Taoiseach Bertie Ahern rejected claims that it was a vote-grabbing exercise.
