CARDIAC patients in Irish hospitals are receiving medical treatment much more rapidly than a decade ago, a health report has revealed.

However, most patients are still not being given appropriate medication within recommended time limits.

According to the study, the average “door-to-needle” time for such patients has been reduced by over 49%, from 76 minutes a decade ago to 45 minutes last year.
