FIANNA FÁIL has begun a concerted spinning war to undermine Labour leader Pat Rabbitte’s controversial strategy of ruling out coalition talks with either of the two Government parties after the next elections.

The party believes it can exploit a potential fault-line within Labour created by Mr Rabbitte’s wholesale adoption of the Mullingar Accord.

On Saturday, Labour’s National Executive endorsed a motion committing Labour to eschew any post-electoral arrangement with Government parties and, in effect, to back a pre-election pact with Fine Gael.
