McCabe widow and Sinn Féin mayor clash

THE widow of Detective Garda Jerry McCabe yesterday refused an offer of "immense sympathy" from Kerry's Sinn Féin mayor Toiréasa Ferris.

On the Late Late Show last Friday night, Ms Ferris refused to condemn the shooting dead of Det Garda McCabe in Adare, Co Limerick, a decade ago.

Yesterday, she again turned down a call from Anne McCabe to condemn her husband's killing when the women clashed on a Radio Kerry programme.
