Kerry set for jobs boost

A COMPANY that transferred its 270-job operation out of Kerry, more than three years ago, may again provide jobs for people living in the Kerry area.

Alps Electric moved from Killarney to Millstreet, Co Cork, in July 2002, but recently announced a 140-job expansion in Millstreet as part of a €14 million investment.

Recruitment is underway for jobs in engineering and general manufacturing of electrical parts for cars.
