ONLY three fixed-speed cameras are in use across the whole country to tackle speeding drivers at any one time, official statistics have revealed.

In total, there are only 20 fixed speed camera locations in Ireland which are all confined to Dublin, Louth and Meath.

Fine Gael last night strongly criticised what it described as a shocking statistic in the Government’s efforts to combat speeding.
